4.1 Products: Sharing and Distributing Data

Once you’ve learnt how to store and categorise your data, it’s time to share it with your wider audience. This can be done in a multitude of ways – PDFs, such as product catalogues and SKU datasheets, Excel and CSV downloads and much more.

Methods of sharing

If you want to share details of one SKU with your audience, it would be most effective to create a product datasheet. This would provide an overview/profile for a specific SKU. For product data on multiple SKUs, there are various downloads available, such as CSV, XLS, XML and PDF.

Permissions for users

Your administrator can set up customised viewing permissions on a per user basis. For example, you may wish a customer that has logged into your SkooCloud account to only see the assets associated with items supplied by you that they stock in their retail store. Another scenario might be a supplier logging in – and they should only see the assets associated with the SKUs that they supply to you.

We cover this in more detail in this article.

Sending images to third party platforms

SkooCloud has an API which enables you to create a connection between your data and a third party application. This is something that would require further discussion and scoping with Aspin and is not part of the standard functionality within SkooCloud.
